Neutral govt' proposal not worthwhile: Minister Sharma

Contradicting the proposal of his party leadership for a 'neutral' prime minister to hold fresh elections, Education minister and UCPN (Maoist) leader Dina Nath Sharma Friday said an alternative to the current government must be found from within the parties.
"The onus to find a political solution is that of the parties. It is wrong to seek a neutral person to lead the government," Sharma said while speaking at a media gathering in his home district, Baglung.
Of late, PM Bhattarai and party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal have intensified talks with the opposition parties over the possibility of installing an election government headed by a civil society figure.
Meanwhile, Sharma, who is known to be close to Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, denied that his party was responsible for the demise of the Constituent Assembly. "If the opposition think the Maoists dissolved the CA, let's revive it.
